Apple Power Macintosh 6100
1994: Apple Power Macintosh 6100
I’m not much into the Apples of the 90’s. However, they are useful as transfer machines between modern computers and 80’s computers. And I must confess it’s quite interesting to check out the last Apple made GUI (Mac OS 8 and 9) since Apple then bought NeXT and the current Mac OS X is really based on NeXT’s NeXTSTEP. The Power Macintoshes used the fast Power PC processors instead of Motorola 680x0. The 6100-series looks like a pizza box and was apparently called that also. It has internal SCSI hard drive and CD-ROM. It has an ethernet connector although not the standard ones (needs adapter) and could be connected to internet.
